I am heavily influenced by primitive cultures and archeological heritages. I got a strong impact in small villages in Mexico where I traveled 40 years ago. They create and make もろ what they need from natural materials around them. Now I live and am making large scale sculptures that embrace sustainability and the environment through the use of recycled and reclaimed materials.. My sculpture's connection to nature is strongly materialized through the shapes and ideas in my work while referencing Japanese architectural influence and western design, and also I have three different cultural background, Japan, Mexico and United States. My sculptures become an amalgamation of diverse influence that harmonize through the methodical process of woodworking.
