Shatto Gallery is delighted to announce our annual end-of-year exhibition, “Here Comes the Sun.” This group show will feature an exquisite array of artistic expressions, including paintings, prints, drawings, photography, ceramics, and mixed-media, celebrating the boundless creativity of both established and emerging local artists, many of whom have previously graced our gallery walls.

The title, “Here Comes the Sun,” embodies a spirit of hope and renewal. As we navigate the challenges of 2024—marked by conflict, economic turmoil, and a global sense of uncertainty—this exhibition seeks to illuminate the resilience of the human spirit. It serves as a poignant reminder that even in the darkest times, there is the promise of light and better days ahead.

In our commitment to making art accessible, all works in this exhibition will be offered at prices of $1,000 or less, a significant reduction from their original valuations. Sue Park, Director of Shatto Gallery, emphasizes that all proceeds will benefit our upcoming artist residency program, set to launch in summer 2025, dedicated to nurturing emerging talent and fostering creativity in the face of adversity.

The participating artists in this exhibition include Edward C. Alfano, Magda Audifred, Hye Soo Byun, Sungho Choe, Edoardo Cialfi, Frank Dituri, David Eddington, Hei Myung C. Hyun, Sunhee Joo, Antonio Kim, Kaoru Mansour, Ji Oh, Echiko Ohira, Minoru Ohira, Da Aie Park, Hyesook Park, Sue Park, Magdy Rizk, Ye Jin Shin, and Sean Yang.

“Here Comes the Sun” will be on view from December 14, 2024, to January 11, 2025, with an opening reception on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m.
